This memorial website was created in memory of my beloved husband, Frank M. Condatore (a.k.a. Frankie Condon) who was born in the District of Columbia on April 01, 1925 to Filomena (Capone) and Salvatore Condatore. Frank passed away on October 06, 2005 at the age of 80. We will remember him forever with love. His wonderful laugh and sense of humor will be missed.
Frank was a true friend, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Frank was a man with many interests and talents. As a young man, Frank loved to ride horses, he became a pilot, he was a chef and restauranteur, he was a carpenter and builder, but most of all he was a wonderful talented musician who was happiest when he was sharing his musical talent, his gift from God. Although he worked in real estate, had his own construction company for many years and owned several restaurants, his true love was music. The Frankie Condon Orchestra was formed in 1946 and although it was disbanded for awhile, Frank needed the music in his life to feel complete. He reorganized the band in the 1969.
Frank was married to Gloria Caruso from 1949 to 1990. Frank met his wife Jackie in 1992 and they were married in 2003. From 1992 until Frank passed away, Jackie was his partner and best friend. They worked together at the Olney House Inn which they sold in 1997and Jackie helped Frank manage the band.
Frank's daughters (Kathy and Anita), grandsons (Brian, Keith and David) and great-grandchildren (Jacob, Alexander, Roman and Abigail) were his heart. He felt a special bond to his grandsons wives (Robin, Sherri and Veena).
